Hey Reader, This week, I want to share something a bit more personal. You know, we often talk about tools, frameworks, and strategies, but sometimes being a project manager is simply about juggling life in all its fullness. On Thursday, I found myself right in the middle of that balancing act. We had a crucial in-person workshop for the delivery team. My project was in the final development sprint, and even as I was focusing on the workshop, messages were still coming in.
and the project didn’t pause just because I was on an away day. By the time the workshop wrapped up, I had to pivot straight into our weekly status call with the client (thankfully, I’d prepped the day before - but it was still a whirlwind). Straight from that call, I had to dash off to meet my wife for our date night at Dishoom.
It was a tight squeeze, but we made it work, and honestly, that’s the real magic of project management. Adapting Staying present and somehow finding those moments of beauty in the madness. Practical Advice: For those of you feeling that same pressure, remember a few things:
