Today's day one.

If you replied last week or you're just deciding now, welcome. This week has exactly one job: pick your AI tool.

That's it. Not evaluate every option, not find the "best" one, not wait until you've read enough comparisons to feel certain.

Pick one and commit to it for the challenge.

Here's why this matters more than it sounds like it should.

The PM's instinct is to research before acting.

Because in your day job - a wrong tool choice can be expensive and hard to reverse.

Here it isn't.

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, whatever's already sitting in a tab you've opened before.

None of them will meaningfully hold you back at this stage.

What will hold you back is spending week 1 comparing instead of building.

If you've got no preference, start with whichever you've already used once, even briefly. Familiarity beats features this early.

If you've genuinely never used any of them.

Pick Claude or ChatGPT and open a new chat today.

That's the whole task.

What "done" looks like for week 1:

You've opened the tool.

You've had at least one conversation with it about the kind of thing you might want to build. You don't need an idea yet, that's next week.

You just need to have started talking to it.

If you want a low-stakes way to break the ice, try asking it something like "I'm a project manager who wants to build something small using AI, what kinds of things could I realistically make?" and see what it says back. You're not committing to anything it suggests. You're just getting a feel for how it responds.

Post in the community which tool you picked.

Week 2 is brainstorming the actual idea. That's next Monday.
